First Player To Wear Hijab At World Cup

Morocco defender Nouhaila Benzina has impacted the world forever by turning into the primary player to wear a hijab at a World Cup.

The 25-year-old wore the Islamic headscarf as she showed up at the competition in her side’s 1-0 win over South Korea.

The wearing of head covers for strict reasons was approved by Fifa in 2014.

Morocco are one of eight groups making their introduction at this late spring’s Ladies’ Reality Cup.
