Bus Conveying Suspects To Court Crashes Into Ilorin Market, Kills One

At the well-known Oja Oba Market in Ilorin, Kwara State, chaos broke out on Thursday morning when a bus operated by the Nigerian Correctional Service carrying some suspects to court crashed into onlookers, killing one and injuring numerous others while others ran for cover.

It was discovered that the Correctional Service bus was traveling quickly against traffic when the accident occurred.

Vanguard was informed by a few of the witnesses that the bus was leaving Okekura Correctional Service quickly.

They said that the driver lost control of the bus, crushing onlookers and okada riders along the way in particular.

One person died quickly from the accident, according to an eyewitness, and two more unidentified people were badly hurt and rushed to the hospital.

Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesman for the Kwara State Police Command, verified the information.
