Zamfara State Election

The Zamfara State Governorship Political race Appeal Court, sitting in Sokoto, has on Monday, August 21, 2023, saved judgment on the request looking to invalidate the appointment of Dauda Lawal as Zamfara State lead representative in the 2023 general political decision.

NAIJALOADED reviews that Dauda Lawal, the applicant of the People groups Progressive alliance (PDP), was pronounced the legislative head of Zamfara State by the Autonomous Public Constituent Commission (INEC) on Walk 18, 2023.

In its request, the All Moderates Congress (APC) asked the court’s three-part board, headed by Equity Cordelia Ogadi, to invalidate Dauda’s political race and pronounce previous Lead representative Bello Mohammed Matawalle the victor, having scored the biggest number of legitimate votes in the state.

In shutting contentions on Monday during the reception of the last composed address, Mr Daniel Dodo, SAN, lead advice to Lead representative Dauda Lawal, and legal advisors to PDP and INEC, second and third respondents, separately, asked the court to excuse the request recorded by APC, at no expense, for absence of legitimacy and inability to demonstrate the case.
